When approaching a project, what core question do you always return to, something that guides
your process, maximum three questions?
What holds my gaze? Why does it work? What can be neglected?
When you approach a project, how does your process unfold, what tools lead you closer to an answer?
My projects find me. I am merely an observer of my surroundings. The photos I take on numerous walks and explorations later serve as the visual basis for my work. Sometimes it takes years for a photo to become a drawing or a complete project.

R: Structure, facture and texture.
V: Variety, context and character.
When approaching a project, what core question do you always return to, something that gives direction to your process?
R: Is it genuine? If not, should it be? How will it age?
V: Is that appropriate? Is that understandable? is it ephemeral?
When you approach a project, how does your process unfold, what tools lead you closer to an answer?
R: The search for a process more often than not becomes the process itself. This allows me to detach from all the correlations, that tend to lead to the feeling of being stuck. If even that doesn’t work out I sturn to what inspired me to get into this world in the first place, a good old scale model.
V: At the beginning of a project, I try to freely explore as many different approaches as possible. In the next step, I usually develop a narrative. Finally, it always helps me to take the red pen to it — to shorten, sort out, and shape everything into a coherent form.

Place, time, and constellations.
When approaching a project, what core question do you always return to, something that gives direction to your process?
What are the conditions for a particular project to emerge and sustain itself? Can or does a (future or existing) spatial form allow for unexpected encounters, shifts, or moments of friction—Auseinandersetzungen? Can or did it change over time; how can or can a built form carry multiple stories, and what are the hidden layers that shape its narrative, such as power structures, contested meanings, or moments of agency?
When you approach a project, how does your process unfold, what tools lead you closer to an answer?
My process begins with theoretical research, grounded in reading and reflection. I am also influenced by pop culture, everyday life, moments of kitsch, and elements of autobiography—all of which sometimes enter my process spontaneously. Narratives and storytelling are essential to my practice; to me, they are tools but also forms of context and position.
Access to the space is available by appointment only.
